A new writing home (an introduction)
I've been writing online for a long time, but have always done so under my own name. I can't put a finger on it, but it certainly feels like if ever there was a time to be writing anonymously or under a pseudonym, it's probably now. Does that sound paranoid? Maybe. I'm also tired of not being able to write as freely. I'm always thinking about how what I say and how I say it might reflect poorly on me or that I will be judged, even by an Internet stranger. I don't know why I care. I know I shouldn't, but I do. And I don't like that I do.
Anyway, I've really been enjoying so many Bear blogs lately and I love the minimalism of the platform overall. For the time being, this seems like my kinda place and largely my kinda people. I like what’s happening here and feel like it's ever more important for the human web to flourish. I want to be part of that. So here I am. You can call me Bravo.
